my thoughts on pension proposals

Yes - all pensioners should get the new flat rate pension.

However, in return, the retirement age should be raised to 67/ 68 immediately. Further, anyone under 67/68 who has already retired should be required to return to work until they reach this age.

Perhaps those over 67/68 should be asked to repay the pension that they received up to that age.

After all, it is only fair that all pensioners are treated the same. It would be wrong for existing pensioners to receive better state pension provision than future pensioners will receive.

Yes, I know this is daft. Sometimes you have to accept that changes are brought in at a given date that may benefit some individuals and not others.

It is a case of discrimination.

It is a case of discrimination not to give all pensioners the same rate.

Most of todays pesioners have worked all their lives and have never received benefits, the same can't be said for todays up and coming pensioners. It seems that the genuine proud hard workers in our society are worse off than those who never work (disabled exempted).

I look around me and am appalled at the amount of people who have never worked yet have all the luxuries that I could never afford. Why do immigrants get full benefits and housing as soon as they come into this country???

My Thoughts on Pension Proposals

by Barrie Whitney

12 million pensioners missing out on the flat rate - thats a lot of voters who think they are being treated unfairly - myself included. There's a huge difference between 107 and 140 pounds a week when its your main source of income.

I have never claimed benefits and have paid NI for 44 years - considering UKIP next time...
